UK Energy Price Guarantee announced (£2,500 typical household cap)

PM Liz Truss announced the Energy Price Guarantee on 8 September 2022, capping a typical household's annual dual-fuel bill at £2,500 for 24 months from 1 October 2022. Equivalent business support scheme announced same day. OBR later estimated year-1 fiscal cost at ~£40bn.
