Russia cuts Nord Stream 1 capacity to 40%

Gazprom cut Nord Stream 1 throughput by 40% on 14 Jun 2022, citing Siemens turbine sanctions; reduced again to 20% on 27 Jul. The squeeze drove TTF gas to record €343/MWh by late August and crystallised European recognition that pipeline gas was being weaponised.
