Hywind Scotland — world's first floating offshore wind farm — commissioned

Hywind Scotland began commercial production 18 Oct 2017 — five 6 MW Siemens turbines on Equinor spar foundations 25 km off Peterhead, 30 MW total. Achieved world-record 56% capacity factor in 2018. Proof-of-concept that opened the floating-wind pathway picked up by ScotWind 2022.
